The entry into force of the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has marked a turning point for the entire coffee industry and has opened a debate between the evident need for regulatory compliance and the practical challenges of its implementation. Recently, the European Commission published new updates that simplify the procedures required from smaller actors in the supply chain, while maintaining the enforcement date of December 30, 2025.
